MicroEcoLab at EDAR8 in Brisbane

Our PhD Students, Anna Rokowska and Agata Bluszcz, represented our group at the 8th Environmental Dimensions of Antimicrobial Resistance Conference, held in Brisbane, Australia. They presented posters on our research on AMR in freshwater environments, focusing on lakes, rivers, the impact of wastewater treatment plants, and the role of extracellular DNA in the spread of resistance genes.

The conference was an inspiring opportunity to share our work with the international AMR community, discuss different approaches to studying environmental resistance and get valuable feedback on our projects. It was also a great space for networking, exchanging ideas, and meeting researchers working on similar questions around the world.
