Method of asphalt foaming using a two-ingredient additive

The subject of the invention is a method for foaming asphalt using a two-component additive, which is added to the mineral mixture before the asphalt dosing stage. This allows for a reduction in the production temperature of the asphalt mixture while maintaining the technological process continuity typical of hot mix asphalt production. The method of foaming asphalt using a two-component additive containing synthetic zeolite and a mineral mixture involves mixing synthetic zeolite with vermiculite in weight ratios ranging from 1:4 to 4:1. Water is then added in an amount of 25% to 200% by weight of the dry mixture and stirred until a uniform structure is obtained. This resulting mixture is then added to the mineral mixture at a temperature of 110°C to 135°C and mixed for a duration of 15 to 180 seconds. The mass ratio of the additive mixture to the total mass of the intended mineral-asphalt mix ranges from 0.2% to 2% by weight. Next, asphalt heated to a temperature of 140°C to 175°C is added and mixed until the aggregate is completely coated with the foamed asphalt. The resulting mineral-asphalt mixture is then conditioned and compacted at a temperature of 105°C to 130°C for a period ranging from 15 to 60 minutes.
