Method of asphalt foaming using a two-ingredient additive

The subject of the invention is a method for foaming asphalt using a two-component additive, which allows for lowering the production temperature of asphalt mixtures. The method of foaming asphalt with the use of a two-component additive involves mixing synthetic zeolite with vermiculite in a weight ratio ranging from 1:4 to 4:1. Water is then added in an amount from 25% to 200% by weight of the dry mixture and mixed until a uniform structure is obtained. Subsequently, the resulting mixture, in an amount of 2% to 10% by weight relative to the mass of the asphalt, is added to hot asphalt at a temperature of 140°C to 175°C and mixed until the foaming of the asphalt begins. Next, the foamed asphalt is added to a mineral aggregate mixture at a temperature of 110°C to 135°C and mixed until the aggregate is completely coated with asphalt. Finally, the asphalt mixture is compacted at a temperature ranging from 105°C to 130°C.
